The excited Leicester City Wags are calling themselves the Foxy Foxes after the club’s rise to the top of the table, we can reveal. The group of wives and girlfriends includes a midwife, a teacher, a charity worker and an actress. The group’s name comes from the team nickname, the Foxes, and a source revealed: “They are loving it”. It took some getting used to but now they’re starting to behave like proper Wags.
Top Wag is star striker Jamie Vardy’s fiancée, Becky Nicholson, 33, a former girlfriend of the singer Peter Andre. They are set to marry in the summer. Jamie’s team-mate Riyad Mahrez, 25, secretly wed Brit model Janet Johal last August. Foxes midfielder Marc Albrighton, 26, is engaged to Chloe Lea Fulford, 25, a teacher. They met when they were teens. And Stine Gyldenbrand, the Danish girlfriend of goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, 29, works as a midwife.
The girls have been shopping for new outfits to wear at the games and parties: they know all eyes are going to be on them.
