Last week in Lebanon two suicide bombers blew themselves up in Beirut and killed more than 40 people while 200 people were injured.
Following that horrific incident, the story of one young boy, Haidar Moustafa, began picking up attention on social media.
Rana Harbi (@RanaHarbi), who writes in her Twitter bio that she’s a “proud Lebanese, reporter, pro-resistance, allergic to both Islamists and Islamophobes”, began sharing a photo of Haidar in hospital, wearing a Real Madrid shirt.
According to reports which spread globally, three-year-old Haidar lost both parents in the attack, and Rana Harbi made an online plea so that Haidar could meet Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the following days, the hashtag #CristianoMeetHaidar began picking up speed on the social network, and today Rana Harbi revealed that the Haidar’s story had reached the Real Madrid star, and a meeting is being scheduled.

Cristiano Ronaldo incontrerà un bambino vittima di un attacco bomba a Beirut grazie ad un hashtag diventato virale
La scorsa settimana due kamikaze si sono fatti esplodere a Beirut ed hanno ucciso più di 40 persone, mentre 200 persone sono rimaste ferite.
Dopo questo orribile fatto, la storia di un bambino Haidar Moustafa, ha iniziato a girare sui social network grazie a Rana Harbi (RanaHarbi), che si descrive su Twitter come una “libanese orgogliosa, giornalista, pro-resistenza, allergico a islamisti e islamofobi”. Rana ha condiviso la foto di Haidar in ospedale, con indosso una maglietta del Real Madrid.
Secondo alcuni reportage il bambino di tre anni ha perso entrambi i genitori nell’attacco, così Rana Harbi ha fatto un appello on-line per far incontrare Cristiano Ronaldo con Haidar.
Nei giorni successivi, l’ hashtag #CristianoMeetHaidar si è diffuso a macchia d’olio sui social network, e oggi Rana Harbi ha rivelato che la storia del Haidar aveva raggiunto la stella del Real Madrid, ed è stato programmato un incontro.
