Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ana Ivanovic got married

Germany and Manchester United footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger marries tennis ace Ana Ivanovic at glamorous Venice City Hall .

The Germany captain tied the knot with Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic on Tuesday – having been in a relationship since 2014.

Schweinsteiger looked dapper in a navy blue suit while Ivanovic looked elegant in a white dress. The newlyweds were a picture of happiness as they left Venice City Hall hand in hand.

The couple had to let friends know to keep the dates from July 11 to 13 free for a celebration – one that Australian Open winner Angelique Kerber had let slip in January was to be a wedding.

And it was understandably for the married couples families too as Ivanovic’s parents, Mirsolav and Dragana, beamed with pride.

Schweinsteiger’s father, Alfred, and older brother, Tobias, were also in attendance.

Il capitano Germania si è unito con  star del tennis serbo  dopo un fidanzamento iniziato nel 2014. Schweinsteiger era vestito in blu mare, mentre la Ivanovic in un elegante ma semplice abito bianco.

La coppia ha mantenuto il massimo riserbo sulla cerimonia dopo che a gennaio la tennista Angelique Kerber si era lasciata sfuggire le prime iniscrezioni.

Presenti ovviamente le famiglie degli sposi: i genitori di Anna, Mirsolav e Dragana, il padre di Schweinsteiger, Alfred, con il fratello maggiore Tobias.
